Bookkeeping NC III

The Bookkeeping NC III program equips trainees with the knowledge, skills, and work attitudes required to perform bookkeeping functions in accordance with the latest TESDA Training Regulations and industry standards. It covers the complete bookkeeping cycle, including journalizing transactions, posting to ledgers, preparing trial balances, generating financial reports, and reviewing internal control systems to ensure accurate and reliable financial records.

Course Objective – Bookkeeping NC III (TESDA)

The Bookkeeping NC III program aims to equip trainees with the knowledge, skills, and work attitudes required to perform bookkeeping tasks in accordance with the latest TESDA competency standards and industry requirements. Upon completion of the course, trainees will be able to:

  • Journalize business transactions accurately using appropriate accounting principles and source documents.

  • Post journal entries to subsidiary and general ledgers while maintaining complete and organized financial records.

  • Prepare and reconcile trial balances to verify the accuracy of accounting entries and account balances.

  • Prepare financial reports, including the Statement of Financial Position, Statement of Comprehensive Income, and other basic financial statements in accordance with applicable accounting standards.

  • Review and evaluate internal control systems to ensure compliance with organizational policies and safeguard financial resources.

  • Utilize accounting software and computer applications to process, record, and manage financial information efficiently.

  • Apply occupational safety and health (OSH) practices, ethical standards, confidentiality, and professionalism in the workplace.

  • Demonstrate effective communication, analytical thinking, teamwork, and problem-solving skills in performing bookkeeping responsibilities.

  • Qualify for the TESDA National Assessment leading to the National Certificate III (NC III) and pursue employment as a Bookkeeper, Accounting Clerk, Accounting Assistant, Payroll Assistant, Finance Assistant, or other bookkeeping-related positions in government and private organizations.
