Course Objective – Computer Network Administration NC III (TESDA)

The Computer Network Administration NC III program aims to equip trainees with the knowledge, skills, and work attitudes required to perform network administration tasks in accordance with the latest TESDA competency standards and industry requirements. Upon completion of the course, trainees will be able to:

• Install, configure, and maintain local area networks (LAN), wide area networks (WAN), wireless networks, and other network infrastructures.

• Configure and administer network devices, including routers, switches, access points, and network security appliances.

• Install, configure, and manage network servers, user accounts, shared resources, and network services based on organizational requirements.

• Monitor network performance, diagnose connectivity issues, and troubleshoot network hardware and software problems using appropriate diagnostic tools.

• Implement network security measures, including user authentication, access control, firewall configuration, and data protection to ensure secure network operations.

• Perform preventive maintenance, backup, documentation, and system updates to maintain network reliability, availability, and performance.

• Apply occupational safety and health (OSH) practices, data privacy, cybersecurity principles, and industry best practices in all network administration activities.

• Demonstrate professionalism, effective communication, teamwork, analytical thinking, customer service, and problem-solving skills in an ICT work environment.

• Qualify for the TESDA National Assessment leading to the National Certificate III (NC III) and pursue employment as a Network Administrator, Network Support Technician, Systems Administrator, Network Operations Technician, IT Infrastructure Support Specialist, Technical Support Engineer, or ICT Support Specialist.
