Course Objective – Electrical Installation and Maintenance NC II (TESDA)

The Electrical Installation and Maintenance NC II program aims to equip trainees with the knowledge, skills, and work attitudes required to perform electrical installation and maintenance tasks in accordance with the latest TESDA competency standards and industry requirements. Upon completion of the course, trainees will be able to:

• Perform roughing-in activities, wiring, and cabling works for single-phase distribution, power, lighting, and auxiliary systems.

• Install electrical protective devices for distribution, power, lighting, auxiliary, lightning protection, and grounding systems.

• Install wiring devices, floor and wall-mounted outlets, lighting fixtures, switches, and auxiliary outlets following approved electrical plans and specifications.

• Read and interpret electrical plans, diagrams, and technical drawings to ensure accurate installation and maintenance.

• Test, inspect, troubleshoot, and maintain electrical wiring systems, lighting installations, and related electrical equipment using appropriate tools and testing instruments.

• Apply the Philippine Electrical Code (PEC), occupational safety and health (OSH) practices, environmental protection measures, and quality standards in all electrical installation and maintenance activities.

• Demonstrate professionalism, teamwork, effective communication, problem-solving skills, and ethical work practices in the electrical industry.

• Qualify for the TESDA National Assessment leading to the National Certificate II (NC II) and pursue employment as a Building Wiring Electrician, Residential Wiring Electrician, Maintenance Electrician, Electrical Installation Technician, or Electrical Maintenance Technician.
