Course Objective – Mechatronics Servicing NC II (TESDA)

The Mechatronics Servicing NC II program aims to equip trainees with the knowledge, skills, and work attitudes required to perform mechatronics servicing tasks in accordance with the latest TESDA competency standards and industry requirements. Upon completion of the course, trainees will be able to:

• Install and commission mechatronics devices, equipment, and systems in accordance with technical specifications and industry standards.

• Perform preventive maintenance on mechatronics systems to ensure efficient, reliable, and safe operation.

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair faults in mechanical, electrical, electronic, pneumatic, hydraulic, and programmable control systems using appropriate tools and diagnostic equipment.

• Read and interpret technical drawings, electrical schematics, pneumatic and hydraulic diagrams, and equipment manuals to support installation and servicing activities.

• Configure and test sensors, actuators, motors, controllers, and other automation components used in mechatronics systems.

• Apply occupational safety and health (OSH) practices, quality assurance procedures, and environmental protection measures throughout all servicing operations.

• Demonstrate professionalism, effective communication, teamwork, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills in an industrial automation and manufacturing environment.

• Qualify for the TESDA National Assessment leading to the National Certificate II (NC II) and pursue employment as a Mechatronics Service Technician, Industrial Maintenance Technician, Automation Technician, Production Maintenance Technician, Machine Technician, or Manufacturing Equipment Technician.
